Basil water goes great with Asian, Indian Italian or spicy food, but is also a great companion to cocktails and nibbling stuff.

Here's how it works for 1 liter:

Cool 1 liter of water in the fridge without carbon dioxide . Remove 12 large basil leaves from the stems. Bend the leaves 1 - 2 times and pour into the water. Run for about half an hour in the kitchen cabinet. Serve with ice cubes.

Tip: If you're going to use bottles or narrow-mouthed containers, the leaves roll up like a mini cigar and thread she through the bottleneck. With the help of a chopsticks, the leaves can then easily be removed from the empty bottle.
